  • WHAT CLOTHING SHALL I WEAR?
Even when the sun is shining, appropriate clothing is the most common problem on the water. You must wear appropriate level of cover, bearing in mind that spray and wind will cause the conditions to feel colder than they actually are. A windcheater and full length trousers and sweatshirt are advised along with warm clothing that can be worn under waterproofs. Even on a sunny day, these should be brought along. On powerboats, footwear is likely to get wet, so ensure appropriate, non-mark shoes are used and a potential change of footwear is available for when the course is over. Please bring sunglasses to avoid glare and sunscreen are essential.
  • IS FOOD INCLUDED?
Time will be set aside for lunch on our training days. We are very flexible with these arrangements. You can bring your own packed lunch or, if you would like to, you can choose to go to any one of the harbour side facilities for lunch.
  • CAN I BE TRAINED ON MY OWN BOAT?
Yes you can! We can offer tailored packages for individuals. Our rate can be found in our course page under ‘Own Boat Tuition’. We are keen to listen to your requests and will ensure that your programme will enhance your skills.
