BH Marine was originally founded by Ben Harris in 2005. Ben has been in the industry full time since 2002, he is head of BH Marine Academy LLP and BH Marine Consultancy Ltd.
Ben originally learnt to sail as a toddler on an original clinker boat out of Padstow in Cornwall, his interest in sailing carried further when studying Business at Southampton Uni, sailing at weekends.
I am a commercially endorsed RYA / MCA Master 200 unlimited / RYA Ocean Master (Sail & Power) with experience as a Business Manager, working primarily in the marine industry, but also with experience in the consumer and business marketing services sector.

Completed all modules in preparation for the oral exam MCA Chief Mate 3,000 GT qualification at Warsash Maritime Academy – Southampton, maintaining and improving my Captains licence to the highest MCA standards.
In additional Ben manages a team of loyal instructors, captains, engineers and yacht management workers who share the same fun and informal approach whilst been safe at sea and covering syllabuses governed by the RYA and rules and regulations by the MCA and IMO professionally.
